- The award for the best use of a credit card goes to Anna who wrote about a wall-sized rainbow made up of credit cards currently on display at a Dutch art museum.
- The award for best family story goes to The Incidental Economist for his exploits selling a family heirloom.
- The award for the best theme is a three-way tie that goes to the Suburban Dollar, Nina at Queercents, and My Money Blog who each wrote a post this week on the benefits of paying off your mortgage early. I hope this may signal a national trend and the end of the CDO.
I also liked Jim’s post over at Getting Your Financial Ducks In A Row clarifying how to best divvy up an inherited IRA.
Robert Brokamp wrote a great guest post at Get Rich Slowly on the importance of saving for retirement, even if you don’t plan on retiring. I think retirement will be quite different for my generation than it was for my parents’ (or their parents’), so it pays to keep an open mind about your options.
